Tell us a little bit about yourself.
I’ve grown up and lived in NW Arkansas my entire life. It’s been amazing to see how biking continues to bring people together, and that’s my favorite part of living here. By day, I’m in technology sales for a Silicon Valley company. The rest of the time, I’m riding bikes with family and friends and enjoying everything outdoors that the beautiful Ozarks has to offer.
How did you get into mountain biking?
While I’ve always had a bike for as long as I can remember, MTB life really started in 2016 when one of my kids was interested to start doing NICA. He started doing it and I started coaching and from there it just escalated quickly and it’s been a blast ever since.
What is your primary riding style?
Enduro, hanging out and getting some good sessions in with friends.
If you could only ride one trail for the rest of your life, which one would it be?
This question isn’t fair! But for local trails… Schroen Train. It’s fast, has options for air and a killer rock tech section. Great combo!
What’s your go to trail snack? (asking for a friend)
Unless it’s a race for some proper fuel, it’s whatever is in the kitchen that’s easy to grab. Skratch chews, energy bar, cookie, taco.
Music, podcast, or the sweet sound of nature while riding?
All nature! I love the sound of dirt under the tires. Refreshing!
What’s one of your funniest experiences on the trail?
Any time riding with friends. SERIOUSLY.. every time is so good. Some of the BEST rides have been race weekend practice days. Hanging out, finding lines, talking strategy, cheering each other on getting through tough sections. Those days are the BEST!
Do you participate in other sports or activities?
The more I bike, the more I just want to bike. But really – anything outdoors is on the list. Hiking, creek life, camping.
Is there anything else you want to add?
If you’re in Northwest Arkansas and want to ride, let me know! Let’s ride!
Is there something specific you’d like to share about your REMtech Pedals?
I’ve been digging the REMtech Pedals since seeing a prototype prior to the first release. I LOVE that they keep my feet planted while upleveling the flat pedal feel. Easy on/off but I have MASSIVE connection with the bike.
