REMplate Pro and OG
Introducing our new REMplate Pros. This larger REMplate offers a sweeter sweet spot, stronger connection, and easier setup. Focus on the trail, not your pedals.
Both REMplate OGs and Pros are made from the same material (SCM415 / Nickel Plated), which is a magnetic metal also known as ferromagnetic metal. Fun fact: magnets are only in REMtech Pedals, not in the REMplates. Ain’t nobody got time for metal debris sticking to the bottom of your shoes.
Pros are for those who like to use the whole pedal, like the increased connection it provides due to its size, or for those who like to get a little rowdy on the trails. You know who you are throwing the no footers and doing a lot of dabbing.
You might be thinking, why bother with the OGs then? Cover your ears, OG. You are still loved. Every rider has their preferences and riding styles. REMplate OGs are optimal for almost any rider, and REMplate Pros help some riders further dial in their preferences.
Effortless Connection
Sometimes you need to dab blowing into a corner or bail when sh*t is about to hit the fan. These larger plates help you find the sweet spot more quickly and easily, allowing for better foot placement. Less fumbling or adjusting – connect and go.
Stronger Connection
You guessed it—more metal surface area = stronger connection to your pedals. Before some have this thought, we are going to put it to bed.
REMplate Pros + REMtech Pedals ≠Clipless Pedal Efficiency … but you can’t knock the freedom
REMplate Pros offer a stronger connection compared to the OGs. You still have an easy, natural release like OGs, so some of you smaller/lighter riders don’t be afraid to try them.
Easy Installation
Pro plates have a larger footprint, so there will be less adjustment in the cleat box. The setup is similar to the OGs with a couple of minor differences. You still want your REMplates to sit approximately 1mm below the shoe sole surface (inside the sole), it just may require fewer shims compared to your OG setup.
The second difference is that because the plate is larger, there is minimal to no side to side adjustment in the cleat box whereas, for the OGs, we recommend the plate be adjusted towards the outer edge of the shoe. Both Pros and OGs are recommended to be adjusted down towards the heel.
