I have peripheral neuropathy and have difficulty keeping my feet on the pedals of my conventional 2 wheel bike. Installed pedal extenders and toe cups on the pedals and that did not help. Only result was that I crashed very quickly because I was unable to get my foot out of my caged foot in the toe cup.
Took a demonstration ride on a recumbent trike and decided immediately that this is what I needed to continue bike riding and proceeded to visit Jersey Bents in Berlin, NJ that specializes in recumbent bikes and through there excellent customer support purchased a new recumbent trike.
Not wanting to have large clunky and cumbersome recumbent pedals with foot foot/heel support and multiple straps I chose to have Magped Sport2 pedals installed on the trike to prevent leg suck. Good idea but it did not work. Still experienced leg suck. Now conversing with Hustle to see if there pedal with two magnets in the pedal and having the larger metal plate in the shoe would help or will I still have to modify the magnetic pedals with some type of foot support or sling arrangement to keep my feet from sliding reward on the pedals to prevent leg suck.
